The Owners: Liz and Richard

Celadon Events is an event decorating, design, and prop rental company located in Reno Nevada. We specialize in custom work and bringing a truly creative edge to everything that we do. Owners Richard Sheriff and Elizabeth Leonard pride themselves on connecting with clients to develop exactly the events that you are looking for. We love what we do and treat each event as if they are a work of art.

Richard, an artist from birth, has spent over 17 years in the event decoration world. He has a background in fine art as well as theater which lends itself to the world of decor. He has worked for many theater companies creating scenic work, as well as a variety of different event decoration companies off and on since he was 18 years old.

He also takes on custom building and upholstery projects, working recently to redo several lounge locations in the area. He created an award winning display booth last year, as well as several smaller projects from permanent wall coverings to custom made pillows. 

Elizabeth, also an artist, has a background in illustration. She attended college at the Rhode Island School of Design and Otis Parsons Art Institute, studying illustration. She has worked as an event designer for the past 12 years, working on all levels of events from large scale festivals to small intimate gatherings. She has a great ability to visualize each project, sketching it for clients, and then follow through creating an event that reflects the sketch. Each event is a creation and opportunity for Liz, striving to learn and grow and achieve the best from each of them.
